Welcome to Aziza's Place, a grassroots home and learning center serving impoverished Cambodian children. AP children come from the Steung Meanchey municipal dumpsite, city slums, and other vulnerable situations or lifestyles. Our colorful and vibrant community is located in the heart of the capital city Phnom Penh and opened its doors on February 14, 2007. Aziza’s Place is the namesake of Aziza Yasmeen Ghori, whose radiant compassion now echoes through the lives of children here. We share the inspiration of Aziza’s love and joy with all who enter Aziza’s Place. Click here for AP's History.
Our mission is to promote the holistic growth of underprivileged children by providing a safe home, access to public school and supplemental education, as well as developmental programs focused on healthy lifestyles, community involvement, and the visual arts.
We envision all Aziza’s Place graduates learning the life tools, skills and values to become productive citizens of their community; economically self-sufficient and socially empowered.
Aziza’s Place opens doors for Cambodian children and their families. The combination of holistic programs for our children and outreach to their family members allows for the entire family to look towards the future with hope. In a country recovering from years of civil war and cultural destruction, we believe Aziza’s Place programs and services are an effective pathway to revitalizing Cambodia’s communities.
