The
Aziza Ghori Charitable Foundation Team Amjad
Ghori
Aziza’s Father and Co-Founder/Director
As an international banker and global energy project
developer, Amjad has spent a great deal of time in emerging
areas and knows the impact that small donations make
toward improving the lives of the world’s neediest,
especially children.
Amjad co-founded the Aziza Ghori Charitable
Foundation to provide educational opportunities and
safe homes for underprivileged children in selected
countries across the world. Between September 2004 and
September 2006, Amjad took a sabbatical and spent significant
time developing the various projects being undertaken
by the Aziza Foundation, visiting each location and
project.
During this time, Amjad has also devoted
his personal time and effort to advocating child-safety
in hopes of eliminating child fatalities through a variety
of educational and legislative measures. As part of
this process, Amjad provided input into the drafting
of the Spa and Pool Safety Act which will be introduced
into the US Senate and US House of Representatives for
approval. The Act mandates stricter safety guidelines
for spas and pools to eliminate instances of child-fatalities
through entrapment.
Friends and acquaintances of the Ghori
family help Amjad find and develop projects for the
Aziza Foundation. Amjad makes a personal point of site
visits to review ideas, develop initiatives and craft
Foundation support.
Fauzia Ghori
Aziza's Mother and Co-Founder
Since February 2006, Fauzia has taken sabbatical from
her position as V.P. of a major marketing company in
the U.S. to focus her time and energy on the Foundation's
work.
She has traveled extensively, helping
establish some of the Foundation’s programs and
even participated in documentary filming in Cambodia.
While committed to the success of all
Foundation projects, Fauzia is fully focused on two
of the largest projects, the Aziza Yasmeen Ghori School
in Pakistan and Aziza's Place, the orphanage in Cambodia.
Nader Ebrahimi
Director, Aziza’s Place
Having witnessed the plight of Cambodia’s vulnerable
youth and having worked extensively as a filmmaker,
Nader decided to move to Phnom Penh to help bring positive
change to these children’s lives.
A native of San Francisco, Nader worked
in New York and Barcelona before settling in Cambodia
in late 2005. Nader is committed to housing and educating
poor children at Aziza’s Place and to giving them
the chance to achieve their full potential.
Aziza’s Place opened in January
2007.

met Amjad and Fauzia at an orphanage in Cambodia. She
established contacts for the Little School Project in
Myanmar and for the LBL Project in Uganda, and has been
instrumental in the development of the Foundation’s
website.
Belinda is a passionate practitioner
